Steven Chester
Vice President and General Manager Worldwide

With a professional background that spans entertainment, retail and digital media, Steven Chester brings a broad perspective and in-depth expertise to his role at Blink. Steven’s entrepreneurial vision has driven the strategy behind BLINK’s growth, leading the company to its current position as the premier interactive services firm for many of the biggest names in film and television, music, advertising and brand marketing.

As Vice President and General Manager Worldwide, he oversees all operations for Blink Digital’s Santa Monica and New York facilities, including the creative, authoring, and technical teams who produce DVD, interactive media and emerging digital media experiences for clients such as top movie studios, television networks, record labels, advertising agencies and global brands.

Before joining Blink, Chester was a senior executive at SLAM Management, working with celebrities like Kelly Slater, Bam Margera and Tony Hawk to produce and promote digital media and events, such as Tony Hawk’s Boom-Boom HuckJam. Previously, Chester was founder and CEO of streaming video pioneer Digital Planet, a producer of groundbreaking entertainment webcasts with brands including ABC, The WB, Disney, Universal Pictures, DreamWorks, BBC America, ClearChannel, Doritos, Barnes & Noble, Toyota, Yahoo! and others.

Steven began his career in the entertainment industry working in production with renowned film directors Woody Allen and Brian DePalma, then joined CBS as marketing manager for the network’s owned-and-operated television stations. He also launched a new product division for GAP Inc. and owned his own marketing firm, which rebranded Mossimo and Smashbox Cosmetics. Chester is a graduate of the University of California at Berkeley, and received both a film certificate and an MBA from New York University and ESADE University in Barcelona, Spain.

Michael Ory
Managing Director

Michael Ory is a co-founder of Blink Digital, and is one of the world’s foremost technical experts on DVD and interactive media technology for the motion picture and television industries, having worked in the DVD industry since its formation in 1996. Ory oversees all aspects of the company’s full range of technical and production services.

Prior to co-founding Blink, Ory was a member of pioneering DVD authoring company, Crush Digital, and worked on early high visibility DVD projects including the film This Is Spinal Tap, as well as The Talking Heads: Stop Making Sense, and Silence of the Lambs .

Michael is an active member of the Digital Entertainment Group (DEG).

Jason Friedlander
Director of New Media and Interactive Content

Jason's appointment is part of Blink's effort to expand its resources as a content producer, both to better serve its current market, and to explore new avenues of the media landscape. His specific mandate is to lead the studio's production team in creating the next generation of interactive experiences.

Friendlander heads a group involved in the development and production of bonus and value-added content for DVDs, as well as original content for the internet, mobile devices, electronic press kits and other media platforms.

Prior to joining Blink, Friedlander founded icandy interactive in 2006. His clients included Warner Bros., Disney. Starz and the Weinstein Company. During his tenure he oversaw the production of content for scores of DVD titles and websites, including the Blu-ray release of Disney's Cars, which won a DVDA Excellence Award for Advanced Creativity.
